WHAT ARE THE TRUTHS WE STAND FOR?

What we Believe

This website is based on the same fundamental faith which our Lord Jesus Christ handed down to His chosen apostles. Those truths have been preserved in the Biblical text down through history. That same truth is brought to life in the hearts of Christians (John 16:13), who are submitted to God and lead by His Holy Spirit (Romans 8:14). It holds Jesus Christ as the eternal centre of God's plan and purpose for mankind (Colossians 1:19-20). And it offers God the glory for all His goodness and mercy to a fallen world, unable to save itself (1 Peter 5:10-11).

"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" – I Timothy 2:5

He died for us - we will live for Him.

THERE IS ONE, ALMIGHTY GOD.

There is one God – eternal, all-powerful, all-seeing, all-knowing, creator of all things. He is above all things, before all things and holds all things together by His power. He was before all things and by His will and for His pleasure all things were created.

"Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for Thou hast created all things, and for Thy pleasure they are and were created." – Revelation 4:11.

"For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him: And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist." – Colossians 1:16-17.

"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty." – Revelations 1:8.

"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." – 1 Timothy 2:5

"...I am He: before Me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after Me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside Me there is no saviour." – Isaiah 43:10-11.

GOD IS A GODHEAD – FATHER, SON & SPIRIT.

We believe that though God is One, He is a triune Godhead – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. All God's acts are done with complete unity of intent and harmony of action on the part of the Godhead. That the Father is the source of all things, the Son is the centre and purpose of the Father's redemptive plan and the Spirit, the actioning power and hand of God, drawing all things to His intended purpose.

"And God said, Let us make man in our image..." – Genesis 1:26a.

"For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." – 1 John 5:7.

"For in Him dwells all the fulness of the Godhead bodily." – Colossians 2:9.

"...we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device." – Acts 17:29b.

"For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead..." – Romans 1:20a.

THE SON IS JESUS CHRIST – THE RESURRECTED SAVIOUR.

We believe that the Father sent His Son to earth, in the man Jesus Christ, to be born of a virgin. That Jesus Christ was both fully man and fully God. That He manifested the heart of the Father towards mankind when He offered Himself to death on a cross as a propitiation for man's sins. That He lived a sinless life and died a death to ransom mankind from their own evil nature. That He was resurrected on the third day and ascended to heaven, where He was seated at the right hand of the Father.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." – John 3:16.

"Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins." – 1 John 4:10.

'And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory." – 1 Timothy 3:16.

"Jesus saith unto him, 'Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known Me, Philip? he that hath seen Me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?' " – John 14:9.

"For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin." – Hebrews 4:15.

"For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many." – Mark 10:45.

"For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit." – 1 Peter 3:18.

"And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures." – 1 Corinthians 15:4.

"Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high." – Hebrews 1:3.

WE ARE SAVED BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST.

We believe that it is only through faith in Jesus Christ – His substitutionary death on a cross, and resurrection to eternal life – that any man can be born anew. That it is only in Christ that we have forgiveness of sins and acceptance with Father God.

"...the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ...Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus... that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus... Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law." – Extracts from Romans 3:22-28.

MANKIND IS FALLEN BY NATURE.

We believe that all men are born in the nature of their forefather Adam, and thus inherit a sinful nature at birth. No man has the slightest power to attain holiness or his own salvation. Only the working hand of God can save him. As such we believe that salvation is a act of God's mercy, completely unaided by the good merits of man.

"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned." – Romans 5:12.

"Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins." – 1 John 4:10.

WE HAVE FREEDOM TO CHOOSE OR REJECT GOD.

We believe that every person is fashioned in their mother's womb as an act of God. From that moment forward each one has received an eternal spirit, which will either spend eternity with or without God. And we believe that the choices made in their lifetime will determine their final destination. We further believe that God desires for everyone to choose to be with Him, and to enter into His mercy and forgiveness.

"And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved." – Acts 2:21.

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." – Romans 10:13.

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." – Revelation 3:20.

HEAVEN & HELL ARE LITERAL, ETERNAL PLACES.

We believe there is a heaven, and a hell. That hell was created for the punishment of Satan and fallen angels, that it is a fire that will burn eternally, and that God does not desire that any man should have a share in its tortures. We also believe that men who choose to rebel against God will have a share in the torments meant for the angels who rebelled. God will deal a righteous retribution on every man – not all equally, but according to the measure of their sin committed in the flesh.

"Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels." – Matthew 25:41.

"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." – 2 Peter 3:9.

"But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; Who will render to every man according to his deeds." – Romans 2:5-6.

"And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works." – Revelation 20:12.
